Wedding Catering in Hyderabad: Menu Planning and Cost per Plate
A wedding meal is the part guests remember longest. Planning it well comes down to three things: the right format for your headcount, a balanced menu and a caterer who handles service end to end.
Buffet formats that work for Hyderabad weddings
- Classic buffet: 50–500 guests, with counters for starters, mains and desserts
- Live counters: dosa, chaat, kebabs or jalebi made fresh on the spot
- Plated service: for smaller, formal receptions
How per-plate cost is calculated
Per-plate cost covers the menu itself. Buffets usually add a setup charge, service staff (about one server per 25 guests) and transport for equipment. GST applies to the total. Always ask for a written quote with every line shown. BookMyPlatter shows each of these separately before you confirm.
Build a balanced menu
- 2–3 starters (mix veg and non-veg)
- 1 biryani plus 1 pulao or jeera rice
- 2 curries and 1 dal
- Assorted breads
- 2 desserts, with one traditional sweet like Double ka Meetha or Qubani ka Meetha
- Welcome drink and water
Book a tasting first
For weddings, always taste before you finalise. We offer tasting sessions so families can try the menu and adjust spice levels before the big day.
